What Is Optional Raid?

Well hello there,

Through this topic I hope you will understand better what an optional raid is. Since mainly our raiding days are on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday it leaves us with 4 days without any raids. The opinions about this matter have been different, this is why we introduced the optional raids to keep those restless souls busy with bosses.

Optional raids

The optional raids are as you probably already figured out, "optional" which means there is no demand of your attendence. However if there is an optional raid sign up on the forum and you sign up, you are obligated to show up. Keep in mind this is still a guild raid and your manners and actions are expected to be on top.

DKP will not be distributed through the raid and we will only roll for items, this goes for all participants. Though you can still receive minus DKP or a kick if you break the guild rules.

It is necessary to have atleast one officer in the optional raid, which means members may not start their own optional raid.

The optional raids may ONLY involve Zul'Gurub and Ahn'Qiraj 20.

To be honest I dont really see the point with the need of an officer in an optional raid.
Sure they are expected to lead, but if no officers are avalible when the oppurtunity arises, and a regular member feel like they have the ability to lead, why wouldent this be ok?

First of all, most of the time there is an officer online. The reason I want atleast one officer online is to keep the raid organised. But I will consider your point of view but for now it will be like this I hope this will not be a problem for you.
